Description:
Satellites are orbital defence platforms, controlled from their launch facilities on the ground, which also provide for their maintenance and testing. Building the satellite in the first place is contracted out to private companies, thus providing a useful boost to the defence sector.
Effect:
Each satellite launch facility generates a production point for use on any defence industry commodity, up to a maximum of five points.
Duration:
Can be built at industrial and higher levels.
Production points gained from satellite launchers are lost when the planet advances to the next economic level, but the build remains on the planet. |
