IDIOT'S GUIDE TO FED2 - PLANETARY INFRASTRUCTURE BUILDS

COMMUNICATION BUILDS

Telegraph

Description:
The transmission of messages through a wire using electricity. The discovery of sensitive current measuring instruments, such as the mirror galvanometer, allowed the first intercontinental links to be laid. As with other varieties of communications infrastructure, a large capital investment is required to set up an effective communication network.

Effect:
Worth one extra production point in any resource or industrial commodity, up to a maximum of five points.

Telegraph build - the telegraph machine has changed little over the centuries.

Duration:
Can be built at resource and industrial levels. Production points gained from telegraph builds are lost when the planet advances to the next level, but the build remains on the list until it is demolished.

Command:
'BUILD TELEGRAPH commodity', where 'commodity' is the resource or industrial commodity to which you wish to allocate the production point. You can remove the build with 'DEMOLISH TELEGRAPH' at technological levels and above.
