ZAND'S FED RADIO TOP TEN

1. Total Eclipse of the Heart - Bonnie Tyler
The first time I really listened to the words of this song was shortly after I had met someone I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Unfortunately, that was not to happen and now this song reminds me of what real love felt like.

2. Relax – Frankie Goes to Hollywood
From my club days… Ah the memories of the chase and conquest, not to mention the booze!

3. Love Hurts – Nazareth
When you are unlucky at love you really need an anthem, this is mine.

4. Poison – Bell Biv DeVoe
I used to hear this one everyday at the place where I got lunch. It made work bearable.

5. Planet Clair - B-52’s
This song played about every other hour at the club I went to in college, well, when I was supposed to be going to college… nuff said!

6. Take Me to the River – Annie Lennox
I just love this version of a great song. Somewhere deep inside I connect with the way this one was done, all aspects of it.

7. White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane (this version)
I have always liked the music on this one, they way it’s played and sung. I am not too hung up on the meaning or the words.

8. Spirt in the Sky - Norman Greenbaum
Same as number 7 here… just like the music… the beat!

9. River of Dreams – Billy Joel
The first time I heard this song, I went out and bought the CD. I had never gotten anything by Billy Joel and I don’t think I ever listened to anything else on this CD. I had a fabulous dream about this song and I will not go into that!

10. Stranglehold – Ted Nugent
Again, I just always liked the music on this one. I don’t know that I ever really listened to the words until much later and I just like the composition of the music.

Music has always been a large part of my life. I have drowned in it on occasions when I got depressed. Music was always able to express what I wanted to say when I couldn’t find the words to do so. I could always find a song that said it better. It can pick you up or make you crash, so be careful how you use it!
