PICTURE OF THE WEEK: FJORD OF FIRE

A fjord runs through pink mountains, bathed in an orange glow. What alien world is this? Actually, it’s taken here on Earth, in Alaska. The alien colours come from special filters on the camera that capture infrared and ultraviolet light as well as visible light.
