After recent horrendous incidents where passengers were mistreated by airline staff, a reporter wanted to understand just what had gone wrong with air travel. How had something that had once been so glamourous turned into sheer hell?
She spent eight days crisscrossing America in economy class, and then documented her travels (or travails) in the New York Times. It makes me glad I no longer have to fly anywhere.
