DUMB CRIMINAL OF THE WEEK: THE WRONG PARKING LOT
by Hazed
Four robbers failed to scout out their getaway route in advance of their crime, and while being chased drove into a parking lot – which turned out to be the FBI’s.
The criminals stole $20,000 from a liquor store employee in a bank in Dallas, Texas. They escaped in a car and when police went after them they never expected the car chase to be over so soon.
They’d already been tailing the four, who were from Houston, after reports of them driving around in a white Lexus. Police linked the vehicle to other robberies so were on the look out for it. Undercover officers followed them to the bank where the liquor store guy was attacked and robbed. Then they were joined by other police officers for the car chase. But it all came to an end when they drove into the FBI’s parking lot.
The four have been charged with robbery.
I guess next time they’ll use a satnav to plan their getaway route.
