NO NEWS NEXT WEEK
by Hazed
It’s a newsdroid holiday next week. The droids are packing up and heading out for a week at a retreat for mechanical mindfulness, where they will be programmed with techniques for coping with stress. Quite what they have got to be stressed about I have no idea – it’s not like I beat them as much as I did the old ones. Still, if that’s what they want to spend their groats on, who am I to argue.
In real life, it’s my holiday too – I always take a week off in September for my late summer vacation. I don’t go away (that would involve leaving my three cats which they wouldn’t be happy about), I do day trips to interesting places. This year, if the weather is good I will do my annual trip to the seaside, plus I plan to go to the Museum of Brands and Packaging and to take a trip on London’s pointless cable car, nicknamed the Dangleway.
Normally I stop publishing the Star for two weeks – the weekends at the start and end of my week off – but this year, because there is a lot going on with Alan putting new code in all the time, I’m just going to skip one week of publishing.
So the Star will be back on Sunday September 18.
