NEW FEDTERM CAUSES PRICE CHECK PROBLEM, WHICH IS SWIFTLY FIXED

Less than an hour after I released the new version of FedTerm last week, a player found a bug.
The problem was that the results of a remote price check were not showing up on the screen. It turned out they were being put onto the exchange page, but that wasn’t much use because that page is intended for the exchange you happen to be standing in!
It didn’t take Alan long to identify the problem. Fortunately it was something at the server end so he was able to amend the code and didn’t have to issue a new version of FedTerm. A fix went in for Tuesday’s reset.

Speaking of bugs… I have to admit I made an error in last week’s Star. I gave the wrong size for character pictures. They should be 80 pixels wide by 96 pixels high (not 90 pixels as I wrote). I corrected this on the web version of the news but it was too late to do anything about the emails. Whoops!
