REAL LIFE NEWS: WEASEL SHUTS DOWN LARGE HADRON COLLIDER
by Hazed
The Large Hadron Collider has been brought to a halt by a short circuit in its power system – caused by a weasel.
The small mammal got into a high-voltage transformer near the particle accelerator at Cern, where it chewed through some wires. The LHC was running at the time and the weasel caused a “severe electrical perturbation” owhich ccurred in the early hours of Friday morning. The collider was out of action for several days while the facility was repaired and power could be restored.
The weasel did not survive its encounter with the transformer.
Incidentally, do you know how to tell the difference between a weasel and a stoat?
A weasel is weasily identifiable, but a stoat is stoatally different!
