DAYLIGHT SAVINGS STARTS IN THE US

If you live in the US then you need to get up and get moving, because the day started an hour earlier than you were expecting. Last night the clocks were put forward as daylight savings time started for most US states. (I believe the only mainland state that doesn’t do DST is Arizona; in addition, the overseas bits of the US (Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands) ignore it as well.)
This is not good news for night owls like me, who struggle to get up in the morning, without having to adjust our body clocks to cope with an earlier start. Why would I want to save daylight anyway? I’ve nowhere to put it!
Here in the UK we don’t switch to British Summertime until the end of the month – March 27, which this year coincides with the Easter weekend. This disharmony between our two great nations means that for Americans, the reset is going to seem to be late, at 9.00am until we get back in sync again, since the game servers run on UK time.
