KNOWN BUGS IN NEW FEDTERM

Ok, we knew we wouldn’t get everything right first time – that’s why it needs to be tested! Even before releasing the new front-end for you to play with we found some bugs that need dealing with. Here’s the known bugs so far:
- If your login fails because you enter the wrong ID or password, FedTerm won’t deal with it properly. You’ll need to close the program down and fire it up again before you retry.
- If you set up a new account using a character name that already exists, the program won’t like it, and again you’ll have to shut it down. You will then need to abandon that account and set up another new one when you try again – it won’t let you create a new character on an existing account.
- The spacing between the lines isn’t working quite right. If you suppress blank lines, then you get no space between any lines; if you don’t, you get space where it probably shouldn’t go.
- Sound isn’t working.
- Although FedTerm remembers the background colour and font that you choose, it’s not showing those as defaults when you pull up the displays.
- The menu item for the FedTerm manual, in the Help menu, leads to the manual for old FedTerm.
If something goes wrong – DON’T PANIC! Let us know, preferably with a log, and remember all the important info is held on the server. The chances of anything being permanently screwed up are minimal.
