REAL LIFE NEWS: CHRISTMAS FULL MOON
by Hazed
This year we will see a full moon on Christmas day, for the first time in 38 years.
There’s nothing significant about this. It just means that if you get up early to open your presents under the tree (or stay up all night waiting for Santa) you can look out of the window and see the glowing full moon. It will rise at 6:11 am eastern time, or 11:11 am GMT (so in the UK it’ll be at its brightest the nights either side of Christmas day itself).
That’s if it’s not raining, of course. If it is, or if you are too inebriated the night before, and sleeping it off the morning after, and you miss the full moon, you’ll have to wait until 2034 for the next Christmas day full moon.
