REAL LIFE NEWS: BEST PLUTO PHOTOS SO FAR

New Horizons is zooming away from Pluto, but it’s still sending us its data – and it’s recent batch of photos are the best yet, showing some of the planet’s strange terrain.
There’s a stunning picture of Pluto backlit by the sun, which was released just a few days ago – look at it here.
Some of the pictures show the Sputnik Planum, a vast, icy plain. It has a large region of jumbled, broken terrain on its northwestern edge, and a smooth, bright region in the centre.
Another image is of a dark, heavily cratered region with mountains and ridges.
