IT WAS A BAD WEEK, SAYS ALAN

Bit of a heavy week this week. We had a problem on Monday (see the next story) which caused the game not to start up.
Then on Friday the exchanges weren’t saved out for some reason I haven’t been able to track down yet. They seem to be OK now, but I’m monitoring the situation.
As anyone who follows the news will know, I’m working on the code at the moment to change the way the game does its output to the net. This is so that I can write a browser-based version of the code, which will, of course, need HTML... There have been a couple of minor problems - missed carriage returns, for instance, which FedTerm handles, but other game front ends don’t. I’m dealing with these as they are brought to my attention.
All this means I haven’t been able to write a Winding Down this week.
