REAL LIFE NEWS: ROBOT PRINTERS BRING YOU THE DOCUMENTS

If you work in an office you’ll probably share a printer with your colleagues. Unless you are very lucky, it’s going to be at the other side of the room – or even in another room altogether. This means that when you print something you have to get up off your behind and walk to the printer to retrieve the printout.
What a pain!
But to the rescue comes Fuji Xerox. They’ve invented a robot printer that can move around the office and bring your printed documents to you.
Actually, this is not intended to cater to lazy people who can’t be bothered to walk to another room; instead, the aim is to keep sensitive documents secure, in a public place such as an airport business lounge.
Whether it will ever take off, I don’t know, but for now we can dream of the idea of a robot office assistant that will bring us our printouts – and, who knows, make the tea as well!
