ROBOT OF THE WEEK: REMOTE FOOTBALL FANS
by Hazed
A Korean baseball team has been struggling to fill its stadiums, so it’s come up with a way for fans who are unable to attend the matches to show their appreciation remotely.
It’s fitted the stadium with a crowd of robot fans, which the real life fans can control over the net. The fandroids can cheer, chant and perform a Mexican wave.
What’s more, it won’t try to invade the pitch, get drunk or start fights. Sounds like a great idea to me!
