REAL LIFE NEWS: WIFI COWS CONNECT GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL
by Hazed
This weekend, trendy musos on this side of the pond are off to the Glastonbury music festival, a traditionally mud-bound three day event with a variety of bands performing, including this year the extremes of Dolly Parton and Metallica.
To help the current generation of young people to stay connected to their Twitter and Facebook feeds, or use Instagram or Tumblr or whatever the latest social media phenomenon is, phone network EE has provided a herd of 4G routers. I say “herd” because they have been fitted to cows.
Now, Glastonbury may be held on a farm but they are not using real cows, but a “highspeed herd” of fibreglass bovines. So all you have to worry about is keeping the phone charged up all weekend.
Meanwhile, for a taste of the real festival experience, this graphic tells it like it is.
