ORIGAMI OF THE WEEK: AN ELEPHANT FROM ONE SHEET OF PAPER
by Hazed
It’s amazing what intricate objects can be fashioned from a single sheet of paper using origami, the Japanese art of paper folding. Flowers, swans, ships – and now this life-sized elephant.
Origami artist Sipho Mabona and his crew took a massive sheet of paper, 50 foot by 50 foot, and spent four weeks carefully folding it until they produced a 10 foot tall elephant sculpture.
Watch a video that shows how the elephant was folded here. Awesome!
