FAILURE TO READ THE STAR IS BAD FOR YOUR BRAIN

by Hazed

You are reading the Fed2 Star, so you have your finger on the Galaxy’s pulse. You know what’s happening. You’re plugged into the source. Any changes due to happen to the Fed code, anything new in Federation DataSpace, you hear about it first. Right here.

Clever you.

If only everyone was as clued in as you are. Sadly, there are people who don’t read the Fed2 Star. They don’t know what’s going on. So when something changes in the Galaxy, they are taken by surprise.

They may even report something as a bug because they didn’t read the announcement that a feature was due to change.

For example: a few days ago somebody reported that a planet had gone missing. One day it was there, the next it had gone. How could this happen?

Well, if this person (who shall remain nameless) had been reading the Star over the past few weeks he would have known that Alan was planning to take out any star systems that had been orphaned - that means the PO had died dead-dead and was no longer in the game database.

But he didn’t know this was going on, which is why the vanishing planet took him by surprise.

He should have read the Star! Not only would he have avoided being taken by surprise, but he would be enjoying the entertaining and informative stories we publish every week.

Of course, me writing this story in the Star isn’t going to make him start reading it. Because, if he doesn’t read the Star, he won’t read this story, either! But if you, dear reader, do see him, tell him to read the news!
