SAD NEWS ABOUT OUR OLDEST PLAYER

We recently heard some very sad news about one of our players, Occy. He hasn't been seen in the game for over a year, and we have now discovered the reason: he passed away, suffering an unexpected heart attack in his sleep on April 26, 2012. Looking at the time of his death, and the game logs for that day, it must have happened not long after he logged off from Fed!
Occy, Plutocrat of Acme, was out oldest player (in the sense of having been with the game for the longest period). He started playing Fed in the Genie days in the 1990s, and he continued to show up off and on over the years, entertaining us all with his own idiosyncratic way of speaking and his eccentric spelling. One had to be an expert at translating Occyese in order to have a meaningful conversation with him.
In addition to his main character he had an alt, Financier Looney. Both characters remain in the game database for now and Occy's planets will be kept in Fed DataSpace for you to visit.
In real life he was Jason Mills. Our belated sympathies go to his family and friends. We will all miss him in Fed.
