REAL LIFE NEWS: DESPERATE FOR A BEER

Have you ever wanted a beer so badly you’d do anything to get one? A 94-year-old man in Munich, Germany was in that state. But the problem was that he was in hospital.
So he left his sick bed and went off in search of a beer - with his intravenous drip needle still stuck in his hand. He made it to an underground rail station before a concerned passerby contacted the police.
“After several calls, it emerged that the pensioner had bolted from a Munich clinic,” police said in a statement. “He himself said he was on his way to a beer hall to have a belated birthday celebration.”
He was returned to the hospital. The story does end happily, though, because doctors agreed to let him have a beer.
