REAL LIFE NEWS: SEE-THROUGH PLASTIC AIDS SURVEILLANCE
by Hazed
Of course, it’s not just the police that want to film you. Plenty of government agencies with alphabet names - not to mention private detective or just plain voyeurs - would love to be able to watch what you’re doing without you knowing you are in view.
So here’s an invention they are going to love. It’s a type of plastic that looks solid to the human eye - but that cameras can see through. So they just have to fashion an ordinary household object out of the stuff - say, a lamp base or an ornament - and put a camera inside it. You’d never know that your every move (and every word) was being recorded.
The material is patent pending at the moment so we don’t know exactly how it’s made. But couple it with the current tiny high-res cameras, and there’s reason to be nervous.
