REAL LIFE NEWS: KEEP YOUR VOICE DOWN OR GET ARRESTED

by Hazed

If you stay in a hotel and the person in the room next to you is one of those noisy types who shouts into the phone, I bet you wish you could get them arrested.

Well, making a noise in a hotel isn't a crime and nor is shouting into a phone, but you do need to be careful just what you talk about, as Richard Vermilyea found out. He was a fugitive, on the run after failing to show up for a theft case and for violating his probation, and he checked into the Traveler's Motel in Delmar, Maryland.

But instead of keeping a low profile, he got on the phone and starting yelling to whoever was on the other end, that there was a warrant for his arrest.

Guests in the neighbouring room overheard the conversation and called police, who showed up and arrested him. He's now being held on a $10,000 bond to answer the two charges.
