REAL LIFE NEWS: BURGLARS BREAK INTO PRISONby HazedFrom an attempted prison break out, to a prison break in. Burglars broke into a prison in Derbyshire, England, and stole equipment from the workshop. The thieves broke though the perimeter fence at HMP Sudbury then forced open the door to an outbuilding, getting away with oxyacetylene cylinders, hoses and a number of metalworking tools. Sudbury is an open prison which means it doesn't have the high security you would expect to find in a correctional institution. In an open prison, the inmates are low security and are trusted not to try to escape. Still, I don't think it's supposed to be so open that it's easy to break in! A spokesman for the prison said, "The prison is carrying out an internal investigation to see what lessons can be learned and will decide if any changes need to be carried out." My guess is that the answer will be: yes. Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-derbyshire-13362365 |
