REAL LIFE NEWS: MOVIE PROMO ITEM SPARKS TERRORIST ALERT

On the other side of the Atlantic, a bus terminal in Ann Arbor was evacuated last week when a suspicious item was discovered. This time, it turned out to be a PR item for the comic book movie, Thor.

A passerby had reported a suspicious package which had been tossed into a dumpster. Police evacuated the area and diverted traffic for about an hour, before they determined there was no danger.

Unlike the previous story, this time the bomb squad didn't blow the item up. We also have a description of the offended item, thanks to the io9 website who also received the promotional press kit, and have published photos showing just how scary it is. Not.

Footnote: the press kit may look a bit naff, but I have seen the movie and I really enjoyed it. It gets the demi-goddess' seal of approval.
