REAL LIFE NEWS: HOW DID YOU LOSE THAT PHONE?

Insurance company Protect Your Bubble has just released some information about insurance claims for lost or damaged iphones, and it make entertaining reading. One in five of those who insured their iphones with the company made a claim in the past year, and they have released two lists.

The first is fairly predictable - it's the top ten reasons for claiming, and it includes various ways in which the phone just broke, but also "leaving phone on the car roof so it falls off when driving" and "Dropped in the bath/toilet".

But the fun is in the more wacky claims. The top ten strange claims include: "I dropped it from a hot air balloon", and "My dog chewed it to pieces". There's also "I dropped it in a food blender", which anyone who has watched the entertaining videos at Will It Blend will know destroys the phone completed. And the slightly sinister, "I accidentally buried it in the garden" which makes me wonder what - or maybe who - they were burying at the time!
