Bad news for all of you who wait in anticipation for your fix of the Fed2 Star every Sunday morning - there will be no edition next weekend, March 7. This is due to emergency maintenance that needs to be carried out on the newsdroids, to upgrade their operating systems and make sure all security patches are applied.

Droid security has become a serious issue recently, with viruses infecting some of the servicebots around Sol. Who can forget the incident where the waitdroids in the Cantina suddenly turned into droid ninja assassins and started slaughtering the tourists who wandered into the bar? I think they are making a movie about this soon.

I don't want my newsdroids to start behaving erratically, so I'm calling in the security consultants to ensure their software can't be infected in this way.
