DROP ME SOME MAIL

Have you ever wanted to leave a message for a player who isn't in the game at the same time as you? Sure, you can post on the noticeboard but that means everyone gets to see it, which isn't always appropriate.

Now a new facility lets POs send mail to other members of your cartel (Sol cartel excepted). You can send a message to an individual, or to all of the cartel members. Of course, over-using this function to spam the cartel members is likely to get you kicked out by an irate Plutocrat... and similarly, Plutocrats whose messages start to annoy the members might find they desert you to join another cartel!

The command is 'SEND MAIL playername message' where 'playername' is either the name of one of your cartel-mates, or the word 'all', and 'message' is what you want to say. You must be on one of your planets to send mail.

If you are in the game when someone sends you cartel mail, you will be told you have mail waiting, otherwise you'll get that notification when you next log on. To read your outstanding mail, type 'MAIL'. Once you read a piece of mail it is deleted.

This new feature will be important soon, because future plans for cartels will involve a lot more interaction between the cartel members.
