REAL LIFE NEWS: WOMAN SPOTS WRECKED FLAT ON FACEBOOK

by Hazed

Here's another story about the unexpected use of technology, although in this case nobody ended up happy - one couple ended up homeless, and their landlord was left with huge bills.

Carolyn Lorimer was looking through pictures on Facebook, when she came across snaps of a house party in Folkstone, Kent in the UK. She thought the pictures looked familiar, so she looked a bit more closely, and realized that it was her flat! She had let it to a young couple who the lettings agency had assured her were pleasant and well-behaved.

Unfortunately, the pictures did not show pleasant behavior at all. The party-goers were dancing on the tables, punching holes in the plaster walls and in the background was the television, on the floor, broken. In short, they had wrecked the place!

Carolyn immediately issued an eviction order but the tenants fled, leaving her with thousands of pounds of damage and unpaid bills.

You can read the full story, and see one of the pictures, here.
