REAL LIFE NEWS: RAP SONG BOAST LANDS CRIMINAL IN JAIL

by Hazed

If you've pulled off an audacious crime, the temptation to brag about it to your friends must be overwhelming. Guess what I did - I robbed a bank and got away with a billion dollars! Or maybe, I caused a bank to collapse and got a Government bail-out of a billion dollars...

Still, boasting about your crime is a bit of risk, because you never know who will talk about it to the wrong person. If word gets back to the authorities, you could find yourself in big, big trouble.

That sounds like common sense, doesn't it? So you'd think it would be pretty obvious that recording a rap song about your crime was a really dumb move. That didn't stop 25-year old Rico Todriquez Wright, who was so pumped up after he shot somebody twice that he wrote a song describing the shooting and even named the victim in the rap.

As a result, he was sent to prison for 20 years.

Actually, he probably would have been caught without the rap CD because his victim, Chad Blue, had known him before the shooting. But he also recognized Wright's voice on the CD, rapping, "Chad Blue knows how I shoot." The must have saved the police the trouble of getting a confession out of him!
