For this quiz I asked players to tell us what they considered the "Scariest Location" in Fed (in the Solar System). We received some very clever and imaginative answers which not only earned the senders a fabulous prize but inspired the prize itself. Winners of this contest will receive their very own personal Anti-Radiation Environmental Survival Suit!
The first prize winner was a tie between Zardoz, whose entry delighted and inspired us, but was a wee bit longer than the requested 250 words or less - but well worth it! - and Jezz's entry which she submitted in poetic form! We also awarded prizes for excellent entries from Merlin, Shrevo, Trilleth, and Zand.
We present below the prize winning poem Jezz sent us. The other prize winning entries have been posted on the Quiz winner web site page. I strongly urge you to take a look at them as some are really incredibly clever and funny.
The mansion on Earth
A creak upon the wooden stair
A scratch upon the shutter
A sighing breath of icy air
To make a heartbeat stutter
The ghostly chalk upon the floor
Bears witness to a deed
And eyes scarce peeking round the door
Might glimpse a soul not freed
Did children once play in these halls
That now lie cold and dead?
And does a moaning windy squall
Convey some word unsaid?
Fear may force the beating heart
To seek a reason, just.
For all that once was living here
Now turned to swirling dust
Our next Quiz will be a Thanksgiving theme to allow you all time to get your creative juices flowing.
One of the discoveries, when people first went into space, was that other planets and races had their own equivalent of Thanksgiving. The challenge is to come up with a festive Thanksgiving Dinner menu for aliens and humans, combining the best of each of their traditions.
We want to know:
1. Which Solar System restaurant you would host the dinner in.
2. The menu - tell us what you are serving for dinner! We want to know which planet/race inspired each dish. Planets/races can be from outside Sol system - yes, player planets can be used for this quiz!
3. Any special native traditions associated with the dishes. (Like breaking the turkey's wishbone on Earth.)

The winner will be announced and gets his, her or its name in the November 2 issue of the Fed2 Star - a special themed prize will be awarded the winner(s) of this contest.
Special note from Freya: Quiz prizes have been delayed recently as I had eye surgery in real life and it's taking a long time to heal - and slowing down all my work on the computer. But all the winners will be getting their prizes - code for the prize objects will start going in this week.
