FEDERGORIES

Tonight I think I had my biggest crowd since I became a host! (or at least all playing at once) as six people joined me to play Federgories: Andrew, Munabilo, Bourbon, Fancy, Joe, and Jewells.
We started off the night with what I thought was an easy category, "Trees starting with D." Fancy said: "Dogwood." Joe said: "Dogwood." Bourbon said: "Dogwood." I think you get the idea! So, a miraculous no points awarded the first round!
Next we had, "Animals starting with C." Then, "Bars in Sol... starting with C." Joe and Jewells both said, "Cantina" while Fancy said: "Custer's last Stand." And Andrew said, "Chez Diesels."
Then was: "Foods starting with... E." Bourbon and Jewells said, "English Muffins," while Fancy said: "Easter Egg." Andrew said: "Egg Rolls." Munabilo said: "Eggplant" and Joe said: "Eggs."
Then we had "Type of toy starting with... C," "Commodity starting with... P" and "A color starting with... B." I followed this up by asking for "Electronics device starting with... D" (trying to see how many people said DVD player.) Andrew said: "Disco Disc player" Joe said: "Digital disc drive." Bourbon said: "Disc player" Fancy said: "Detector, radar." and Munabilo said: "Daring digital thermometer."
The last Fed category was: "A planet starting with V," then finally it was bonus round time! After a quick overview on how it worked we dived right in. The category was: "List as many Holidays as you can." After several minutes of seeing who matched I gave them the answers:
Fancy, "New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Passover, 4th of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Christmas, Halloween, All Saints Day, Thanksgiving, Flag Day."
Jewells, "Chanukah, Christmas, New Years Eve, Easter, Halloween, Memorial Day, Quanza."
Andrew, "Halloween, X-mas, New years, Memorial day, veterans day, valentine day, easter, Martin Luther King day."
Joe, "martin luther, mother day, fathers day, flag day, admin asst day, 4th of july, xmas, thanksgiving, st patricks day."
Bourbon, "memorial day, secretary's day, bosses day, fathers day, mothers day, grandparents day."
Munabilo, "christmas, valentine's day, mother's day, father's day, easter, presidents day, martin luther king jr. day, labor day, memorial day, st. patrick's day."
After tallying it up, the points for the round were: Bourbon and Joe 3 each, Jewells 2, and Fancy, Andrew, and Munabilo 1 point each.
Giving us our final score for the night:
Jewells in fifth with... 5 points!
Bourbon in fourth with... 6 points!
Joe in third with... 10 points!
Andrew and Munabilo tied for second with... 11 points
And our winner this evening with 14 points... FANCY!!!
