FED PHRASE GAME

Tuesday May 27
by Fancy-Fancy, Technocrat of Toontown

Three players joined me in Studio 1 to take on the wheel and tonight's puzzles. Munabilo, Jewells, and Joe were tonight's contestants. After explaining how to play and satisfying all lingering questions on the game, we set the playing order (Jewells, followed by Munabilo, then Joe), and started the game.

Round 1 was 4 word things (4, 2, 6, and 4 letters), with Jewells starting it. She tried an R first, but there weren't any, and Munabilo took over. It found the S, F's, O's, and D before buying an E not in the puzzle. Joe got the puzzle, but couldn't find any T's. Jewells found an N and L before guessing a C missing from the puzzle. Munabilo hit 1000, but for zero P's. Joe got the puzzle again and placed M, A, and B before solving - bags of animal food - to win Round 1 for 1200 points.

Our second puzzle was 3 word things (6, 3, and 6 letters), and Jewells was up first to start this puzzle as well. This time she started off with an S, and there were two. She followed with R, N, D, E, T, and A before a missing M stopped her. Munabilo took over and added C, L, B, and finally H for 1000, leaving only a vowel, then solved - tables and chairs - for 1750 points.

Joe was up next to start our third puzzle, which was a 6 word phrase (3, 6, 5, 4, 1, and 4 letters). Joe placed an S, two T's, three H's, the E's, a D, an R, and the A's for 4050 points before a Bankrupt wiped it all out. Jewells took over and found W, N, I, and L before calling a missing C. Munabilo got hold of the puzzle and promptly placed 3 P's, bought the O and U, and placed the B before solving - The hopper lands with a bump - for another 1300 points.

We had time for one more puzzle, so our final puzzle of the night was a 3 word phrase (10, 11, and 4 letters). Once again we were back to Joe to start the puzzle. Joe called S to start, yet in all those letters, not one was an S. Jewells hit a Bankrupt, as did Munabilo after finding an R. With his second chance at the puzzle, Joe found 2 T's, 2 L's, 4 N's, and bought the A's to rack up 5550 points, and then hit 1000, but his call of an H was not in this puzzle. Jewells took over. She found a G, bought the I's, and got stopped with a missing P. Munabilo got the puzzle again, and promptly picked up a Free Spin. It then got 2 C's for 300, and missed with a D. Munabilo used its free spin to continue and bought the E's. Munabilo spun and called K. It was in the puzzle. So was its next call of a W, leaving only vowels. Muna then solved - allocating maintenance work - for 800 more points.

We came to the end of our allotted hour, and coming in tonight as our runner-up was Joe with 1200 points. And our big winner tonight, with 3850 total points was Munabilo. Congratulations to Munabilo on tonight's first place finish. Join me on June 10 at 10 p.m. Eastern for our next exciting edition of the Fed Phrase Game.
