FEDERGORIES

This week I had five people take the time from their busy schedules to play: Cathy, Fancy, Andrew, Bourbon, and Beandip! I decided since it was the first of May, a spring time theme was appropriate.
First we started off with something easy, "Spring flowers starting with a P." We had the normal ones like "Petunia" and "Phony Plastic Flowers". Petunia though was matched by both Beandip and Bourbon.
The next round was "In spring we look forward to fresh vegetables and fruits, name a fruit starting with... S." Fancy and Cathy said "Strawberry" while Beandip said "Star Fruit", Bourbon said "Satsumas" and Andrew decided to be clever and put "Sweet Sugar Cane."
After that we did a Fed-related round, which was "Fed systems starting with L." No surprise, Bourbon said "Liquor", Fancy and Andrew matched "Leporidae", Cathy said "Looking Glass" and Beandip tried to get away with "Lattice."
Then we had "You look out at your yard and you see what... starting with a T," then "Name a person/place/thing, with the word May in it" and "Fed Planet starting with a... B" then "You look around your living room and you find what... starting with D."
Next was a fun category, "Things with Springs!" Cathy said: "Springy Slinky," Fancy said: "Moldy Mattress." Andrew said: "Perky Pogo stick" and Bourbon said, "Irish Spring, the soap bar" (hm, I don't think I'd like springs in my soap!)
The last Fed category was "Fed players starting with... Z." Fancy and Bourbon said "Zappp," Cathy and Andrew said "Zodraz" and Beandip was the only one to score that round with "Zeus."
Finally we were at the Bonus Round, which was: "Spring is here, and that old phrase "Spring cleaning" comes up, how many places can you think of that could use a good Spring Cleaning?" This was a fun round to try and figure out matches! Here were theanswers:
Cathy, "my car, my office, my pantry, my dresser, my closet, my chest of drawers, my kitchen, my living room, my den, my bedroom"
Fancy, "kitchen, garage, office, bedroom, utility room, living room, hallways, atrium, garden, greenhouse"
Bourbon, "bathtub, toilet, yard, car, lawn, screens, windows, carport, porch, garage"
Andrew, "kitchen, bathroom, living room, closet, hallway, backyard, front yard, pantry"
The scores for the Bonus round were: Cathy and Fancy 3 points, Bourbon 4, and Andrew 1.
And the final scores for tonight were:
Beandip in fourth with 5 points
Bourbon and Fancy in third with 10 points each
Andrew in second with 13 points
And our winning tonight Cathy with 15 points!!!
