A NEW FEDTERM PLANET PICTUREby HazedFedTerm uses can download pictures of players and their planets, which the front-end will display. Character pictures show up when you examine a player, do a SpyNet report, or have a private conversation - you can see how it works by typing 'SPYNET REPORT HAZED' because my picture comes with the FedTerm installation. If you can tear your eyes (or equivalent) away from my ravishing demi-divine image, click on the Systems tab and then scroll down the list of all the star systems in the game until you find Sol. Click on it, and all of the planets in the system will show up on the right of the screen. Click on one of those, and you will see a picture of the planet. Players can submit their own character and planet pictures to be displayed in galleries, and you can download the pictures to add to your collection, so that FedTerm will show them to you when you are in the game. The character gallery is here and the planet gallery is here. This week, there is a new picture in the planet gallery. It shows the planet Indulgence, in the Hedonism system, a world that seems to be situated quite near a temporal rift - at least, I'm guessing that's what the swirly thing in the picture is. Or maybe it's just space dust. Download this picture by right-clicking and selecting Save As... and putting it in the planets sub-folder of your FedTerm folder. If you want to let other people see what you, or your planet, looks like, you should make a picture to show us and mail it to feedback@ibgames.com. Character pictures are 80 pixels wide by 96 high; planet pictures are 172 pixels square. Both should be in .bmp format. Character pictures should be named after your character, ie pugwash.bmp or newbod.bmp. Planet pictures should have a filename to match the planet name, ie marina.bmp or rigel 4.bmp. |
