FEDERGORIES
Thursday April 10

Four people showed up for this week's Federgories. Fancy, Davidh, and Smitty, all decided they'd take time out of there busy schedules to play this evening. Djentsch unfortunately had a lag so he decided to just watch.
After making sure they all knew how to play, we started up the game with a fun Category: Fast Food Restaurants starting with... C. Well, I don't think Smitty realized I meant places in Real Life. Because he said "Chez Diesel", but he said that it was real to him. (Side note: You know you've played to much Fed when you think that Chez Diesel is a real restaurant!)
Then we did Kitchen Appliances, our first Fed category, and Brand of Sodas. This was followed by Things you find in your refrigerator starting with... N. Davidh went the fat free route and said: Nuetrella Fancy said: Nectarines. And Smitty said: Nutrasweet. I was curious as to why keep sugar in the fridge but gave him a point anyway after someone pointed out that it would keep the bugs out!
Then we had another Fed related round, Fed planets starting with...C. We had Smitty with: "Cube", Fancy with: "Catseye" and Davidh with: "Crash".
Djentsch wondered why no one said Cabbage; I told him no thank you I didn't want to eat any cabbage. Turns out Cabbage is a planet too! Who would have thought? (Editor's note: I most definitely would!)
Then we had Something you'd find in your freezer starting with...G and Cooking Techniques starting with... S. Finally we had the last Fed-related round, then the Bonus round. The last Fed round was Systems starting with... F. Smitty and Fancy came up with "Fowl" (way to be original!) and Davidh was the only one to get points with "Food".
After a quick overview of how the bonus round worked, I gave it to them: "You look around your kitchen and what do you find?" Well, I was taught a lesson on giving such a broad category.
The answers they gave (and surprisingly no one matched) were:
Davidh, "sponge, soap, refrigerator, stove, sink, freezer, soda, bananas, dishwasher and microwave"
Smitty, "knife, glass, fork, spoon, bowl, cup, mug, plate, mixer, blender"
Fancy, "pots, pans, skillets, grills, screens, colander, cookie sheets, tea kettle, silverware"
Davidh got 10 points for that round, Smitty also received 10, and Fancy only 9.
The final scores of this evening were:
Smitty in third with: 19
Fancy in second with: 20
And Davidh in first with... 23!!!
And thanks to Sephorin, Davidh got a shiny Slithy Tove for winning!
