REAL LIFE NEWS: BE A REAL LIFE ASTRONAUT

by Hazed

We all have fun pretending to be spacemen (or spacewomen or -things in Fed, but what if you want to be an astronaut in real life? You could do worse than browse through the jobs site Usajobs.com, which bills itself as "your one-stop source for federal jobs and employment information".

Search on "astronaut" and you will find that NASA is advertizing for new staff on the site:

"NASA, the world's leader in space and aeronautics is always seeking outstanding scientists, engineers, and other talented professionals to carry forward the great discovery process that its mission demands. Creativity. Ambition. Teamwork. A sense of daring. And a probing mind. That's what it takes to join NASA, one of the best places to work in the Federal Government."

Successful applicants will get to join the International Space Station program and may even be included in future teams heading back to the moon. Cool! And if the thrills aren't enough, it's a pretty good salary and pension, too.
