TWO SEARCHES TO START YOU OFF

The new search command is something that will be very useful in the future, but right now there's not much to search for. Or is there...?

Actually, yes there is. I have put two places into the Solar System where searching will yield something interesting. The first is on the moon. Wander around the workshop area until you find a place that looks as if it might conceal something interesting - searching here will give you access to one of the secrets of Selena's downtrodden workers.

Then head over to Mars, where in the ruins a bit of searching in the vicinity of a black pillar will yield a variety of interesting artifacts!
