GEEK TOY: THE GOLD INGOT USB HUB

A USB hub is a very useful little gadget, allowing you to connect lots of things to your computer even if it only has a few USB ports to plug them into. But a small, functional plastic box is boring, and there have been many attempts to come up with a USB hub that is more interesting. Here's one that may have succeeded!
The hub looks just like a gold ingot, and has enough metal in its construction to weigh 2.4 kg - so it's got the right heft to be gold. Sadly, there is no real gold in it, none at all, but it does look impressive. It's got eight ports in it and is due to go on sale soon from a Japanese company for 5,980 yen (about $52/£27).
