WORKING IN A COAL MINE, GOING DOWN DOWN DOWN

The first of the energy builds has been made available: coal mining. Yes, you can now despoil your countryside with strip mining or endanger the health of your workers by forcing them down very deep holes to dig for coal. Coal power is one of the easiest methods of obtaining energy - you simply dig it up and set fire to it - but it does cause pollution and atmosphere problems which you will need to deal with.

The good news is that building this infrastructure will increase the efficiency of all your industrial commodities by 1%, up to a maximum of 5%. The bad news is that each build will generate 2% dissatisfaction unless it is offset - you'll need one pollution control and one atmospheric control build for each coal mine.
