GWAPTIVA THE MERCHANT

It certainly has been a week for unexpected things happening to planet-owners. Shockwaves ran around the Galaxy this week as players suddenly realized that Gwaptiva, who everybody knows as the Founder of Scotia, was suddenly transformed into a Merchant. How could this shock demotion have happened?

Rumors were rife, and players came up with several quite plausible sounding theories, as well as some that weren't very likely at all:

• He had stumbled into a timewarp
• He was experimenting with an elixir of youth which instead of reducing his age, reduced his rank
• He did something to make me angry so I demoted him
• The Martians did it!

Whatever the reason (and I can neither confirm nor deny any of those theories), he worked his way back up the ranks with a little help from my demi-goddess powers, and is now a Founder again, and has sworn that he will never, ever do whatever it is that caused his demotion again!
