DESIRABLE, COLLECTIBLE TRADING CARDS

by Hazed

Ever since Anton Gallagher announced he was no longer going to produce his limited edition charms to hang from the TenBrane keyring, fashionistas have been looking for something exclusive upon which to spend their slithy toves. Now, a new business opened up on Castillo might have what they are looking for.

Clive's Collectibles specializes in all those items that obsessives like to collect - stamps and coins and so on - so on the face of it is not the kind of shop that the trendy young things of the Galaxy would be seen dead in. But Clive might just have hit upon a line that will have everyone flocking to his door, which would be good news for him and also for the planetary authorities, who are keen to change Castillo's image from a boring research station to a place that offers something to visitors.

Clive has introduced a new line of trading card showing famous people from past and present. These cards come in sets, and to start with he's featuring the cards that depict Emperors of the Galaxy. Taking a leaf from Gallagher's book, he's going to sell the cards for a limited period only, with a new card each month, and he hopes this will ensure he can keep on offering the cards for several years before people get bored with them. First up is a card depicting the Emperor Promethius, and it costs one slithy tove. The card comes in a special holder which you can attach to your nano-chamelon suit's belt, so that it is on display whenever anybody looks at you.

Clive's Collectibles new premises are in what used to be a storeroom, and can be found by walking through the trading exchange on Castillo.
