REAL LIFE NEWS: MYSPACE USED TO PLAN MURDER

by Hazed

A jealous woman who had been chucked by her boyfriend used MySpace to get the details of his new lover, then tried to hire somebody to kill her. According to Arizona police, 22-year-old Heather Kane paid an undercover officer $400 to bump off her replacement, and promised $600 more on completion of the hit.

Kane found out about the new girlfriend by looking at her ex-boyfriend's MySpace page, which listed her amongst his "friends". She told an acquaintance about this and said she would pay to have the woman killed. The acquaintance contacted the police, who set up the undercover sting with one of their officers pretending to be a contract killer. When she met the fake assassin, she handed over all the information she had amassed from the MySpace page. She was then arrested for conspiracy to attempt murder and is being held in custody.
