ROLE-PLAY CLASS

Today was the first day on the new server, and the first class on the new server as well. I was doing double duty, directing players to the new server while preparing for class. But I'm a multi-talented feline, so I was sure I could handle both. If I must say, I didn't do too badly.
Since I was indeed multi-tasking, the class this week was an informal question-and-answer session. I started off by asking "What was your favorite role-play moment in Fed?"
Squeeky mentioned when he and I visited Lair. Ahem, I just got Necrose to pardon us, so I think it diplomatic not to go into that one further in this report, though we did discuss it in the class. Droid remembered when a war almost broke out between Dilconia and Catseye when Furgas kidnapped a kitten. Well, gee! Wouldn't any mother get upset if someone kidnapped her child?
From there we discussed toetags and gowns in Classic. I really think we should talk to the staff at the hospital about bringing those back. After all, it is such fun to bat around a toetag and to watch people walk backwards to protect their modesty in those gowns. Fancy suggested they might return with ship fighting, or be role-play items that can be picked up in the hospital. Hmmmm...
Occy's favorite role-play moment was the runner boot in Classic, a reference I admit I didn't understand at first. Once he explained it, I was glad I had fur to hide my blushes.
Droid brought up spybeams and we learned some never found the spyroom on Earth, so we spent some time discussing secret rooms in Classic. The mansion had so many fun role-play items, like the banister down which you could slide.
"Good role-playing is often spontaneous," I brought up. "It is usually more fun that way as well, because you get to react to others without using a script."
Caesar said, "Physchologists say role-playing is healthy."
"It is healthy unless you use it as your reality," I replied.
And this brought us to the close of our first role-play class on the new Serenity server. Thanks to everyone who attended for their brilliant discussions.
