MAGELLAN CUP
Saturday March 18
by Robius

After cancelling 2 weeks ago, I gave tonight's Magellan Cup another go. Jessecka, Alphatron, and Gradon showed up to race, with Droid, Priscilla, Cooly and Jinto tuning in to watch. After explaining the rules for the new racer I gave the first of the three clues:

"Wow, it's pretty hot this close to the sun. I knew I shouldn't have gotten out today, but I had to get this book back before they charged me a late fee. I should have just had that messenger for the gods take it back for me. He is pretty fast and the planet is named for him, afterall."

The location was the Public Library on Mercury and Gradon was the first one to find it, followed by Jessecka and Alphatron very soon after. After reaching the checkpoint the players were given the second clue:

"That bad kitty, has she been chasing Squeeky again? Then perhaps she deserves to be in here. I just hope she gets out soon before the dog gets back or she'll really be in trouble."

This clue referenced the Kitty in the Doghouse section of Feline Myths Wing on Catseye in the Chrysoberyl system. Gradon again found this clue first and was again followed closely by Jessecka. Alphatron found his way to Catseye but didn't quite find the correct location. So only Gradon and Jessecka were given the final clue:

"Step lively if you want to reach the last marker, but don't worry if you receive a Screen of Death Blue."

The final checkpoint was found at Grant Studios on The Lattice. Gradon and Jessecka

were a bit confused on this one but they both finally found it. Jessecka was first, however and returned to Magellan to win the night's race. Alphatron decided to give up and just head on back.

Congratulations to Jessecka, for won tonight's edition of Magellan Cup and to Gradon for his second place finish. Thanks to Alphatron for coming out and racing, as well, and thank you to all that tuned in at home.

Magellan Cup is a scavenger hunt/race played every other Saturday night (alternating with Feddergories) at 10.00pm eastern. The next race will be held on May, 13th, so be prepared to strap on your racing shoes and test the Fed2 space speed limits.
