TIME WAITS FOR NO MAN, WOMAN OR THING It's that time of year when we all lose sleep, and what's more the Americans and the British get out of sync with each other. It's the start of Summer Time, as far as time-keeping is concerned (if not the weather). It's time to change the clocks, setting them forward one hour, and losing an hour that would normally be spent in bed or in Fed. For those in the UK, the time change will happen next weekend, in the early hours of Sunday March 26. For those in the US, it's a week later, on Sunday April 2. Since the Fed computers live in New York, they run on US time so will change in two weeks. This means that for the week in between the time changes, I'm going to be running around very confused. Don't be alarmed by this; I will be harmless! |
