Part 6 - Checklist
CHECKING THE SPACE MAP
- The space map file should be called space.loc - all in lower case.
- If there is a message file, it should be called space.msg - all in lower case.
- There must be an Interstellar Link - but only one.
- All the locations must have the space property set.
- None of the locations should have any of the properties set that only apply to ground maps - the only permissible properties are space, link and peace.
- The locations should not be crammed up against any of the edges.
- There should be no movements that lead to a non-existent location.
- The map title should be set on the Map Info panel - it should be the name of your system followed by the word Space, for example Newstar Space, all the words starting with a capital letter.
- The launch pad and orbit boxes should be left blank.
