Part 6 - Checklist

INTRODUCTION

Although the tools that make up the workbench simplify the process of creating a new planet, they cannot make it completely fool-proof. There are plenty of mistakes you can make, and some of those mistakes will mean that your planet will not load into the game, or will not work correctly - or might even crash the game.

Eventually, they will be given sophisticated checking facilities that will flag up anything you have done that could cause a problem, but while the workbench is still being developed, you will have to do that checking yourself. This section of the workbench manual contains a checklist of things you need to make sure are correct. Note: this is only concerned with the things that will cause problems with the game, not with mere typos or errors; those you will have to check separately.
