FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT PLAYING FED2
A: You can be anyone you want to be! We don't have fixed races in Fed2. (No elves or orcs...) When you set up your Fed character you are asked what race you want to be, but this is purely cosmetic, for role-playing purposes. and doesn't actually affect how you make your living in the game. A: Nope. Fed isn't that sort of game - it's about making friends and forming alliances, not blowing each other out of the sky. Later, we will add limited fighting facilities, but it will never be a major part of the game.
A: You can read the Quickstart Guide which gives you the absolute basics to get you started, but we recommend you read the full manual - The Idiot's Guide to Fed2. You can find both of them, plus a lot more useful info, at http://www.ibgames.net/fed2/manuals/index.html. A: Don't panic! Death in Fed2 is not final, so long as you have life insurance. When you die, you are cloned and wake up in hospital. Just remember to buy more insurance before you leave your hospital bed.
A: We have staff in the game whose job is to help new players get started. You can also ask other players in the game, or you can email feedback@ibgames.com and ask for help. There's also an extensive help system in the game, giving information about common commands and concepts. Type 'HELP' to get started.
A: Mail feedback@ibgames.com and give your Fed2 character name, and we'll sort you out |
