Oil Power

Description:
Oil is more flexible and more powerful than coal as an energy source and hydrocarbon raw material. It tends to be more difficult to obtain than coal. Turning it into heat is a polluting process, but at higher levels it is more of a raw material than a fuel.

Effect:
Each oil power build adds two production points to any industrial commodity, up to a maximum of 10 points. However, each build also generates 2% extra disaffection in the population on industrial, technical and biological planets.

Oil Power build - boost production by extracting black gold.

Duration:
Can be built at industrial and technical levels. Production points gained from oil builds are lost when the planet advances to the next level, but the build remains on the list until it is demolished.

Command:
'BUILD OIL commodity', where 'commodity' is the industrial commodity to which you wish to allocate the two production points. You can remove the build with 'DEMOLISH OIL' at biological levels and above.
